TeleTeachers is a teletherapy startup founded on the mission of enabling equal access to education for all students. By combining technology with personalized learning, TeleTeachers aims to bring high-quality, affordable speech language pathologists to every school.

I worked with the founder and CEO, Emily Smith, to create a visual identity for the launch of the startup, starting with a logo, and expanding into web design, custom illustrations, and a library of visual elements.

Brand Strategy & Visual Identity

As teletherapy companies can feel clunky, impersonal, or intimidating to education professionals, we needed the brand to come across as as tech-forward, but also expressive and very human (just like the TeleTeachers experience itself). Everything about the brand identity was designed to reflect this balance of innovation and professionalism with a warm, energetic spirit—from the logo to the color palette to the typography.

Website & Illustrations

In partnership with Outspoke, we designed the website to be as approachable as possible, integrating an array of custom illustrations and iconography to infuse it with a warm, engaging, and educator-friendly spirit.

Illustrations helped to visualize how easily the the geographic distance between SLPs, teachers, and students could be bridged.

How it Works

The switch to tele-therapy can be intimidating, so we worked to create meaningful illustrations walking schools through the process, with the intention of making it feel more friendly and approachable for both schools and teachers.

Iconography

A library of icons was designed in a style similar to the logo—with the the simple, geometric shapes (representing technology) balanced with the the hand-drawn lines (representing the human interactions).

Stationery & Collateral

A series of custom patterns was created to bring energy to the more business-oriented collateral.

Packaging

A range of packaging was also created, to be used to send resources and welcome materials to new therapists and for correspondence with partners and schools.

White Papers

Always working to make teletherapy more accessible and approachable, the TeleTeachers team continues to produce research and resources for educators and schools to use as guides.

Social

The type and color palette, icon and illustration library, and array of patterns come together to create a diverse range of imagery to pull from to be used as TeleTeachers goes forward, continuing to expand on social media and beyond.
